在中空玻璃的生產中，雙道密封中空玻璃生產可靠性高而廣泛使用。雙組份中空玻璃膠的涂布有2種方式機器涂布跟手工涂布。目前采用手工涂布的中空玻璃生產因成本低投資少被大多生產廠家采用。

雙組份打膠機的出現滿足了上述手工刮膠時無法避免的三個缺 陷。同時經打膠機高壓涂至玻璃邊緣上的膠結構密實，而同樣的膠手工混合后涂至玻璃上就松軟有氣泡。就像水泥混凝土經震動震實的結構性強，而未經震實的混凝土就算加大水泥的配合量也無法達到所需強度。所以高標準的中空玻璃如幕墻中空都要求一定采用機涂的方式生產。
